1. The information Seroba collects

Seroba will use the information you provide on the relevant sections of the Site or by electronic, telephonic or other means, (i) to provide you with access to content either through the download of materials or where appropriate by enabling you to access the section of the website dedicated to Limited Partners, (ii) in order to provide you with relevant updates or news selected by Seroba, (iii) in order to evaluate investment opportunities that you have offered to Seroba for evaluation; (iv) in order to improve the user experience of our website and help us to understand our visitor profile and interest in our business.

Seroba will only disclose your information to third parties where you have given your consent, or where third parties are contracted by us to help us with managing data, or where Seroba is required to do so by law or by a regulatory body, or where it is necessary for the purpose of, or in connection with, legal proceedings or in order to exercise or defend Seroba’s legal rights and, as the case may be, those of its partners and staff members.

Where Seroba enters into due diligence for the purposes of evaluating life science opportunities presented to it for investment, Seroba will if requested sign the Seroba Non-Disclosure Agreement (NDA) with the entity or individual offering the investment opportunity. We use personal data that we collect to fulfil contractual or regulatory obligations, for communication purposes and to maintain and expand our network. This includes sending updates about Seroba’s news, invitations to events and meetings, and to communicate, interact and correspond with our network generally on a day to day basis for legitimate business reasons via electronic, telephonic or postal means. We rely on our legitimate interests in maintaining business relationships and communicating with our contacts as a business contact, about our Seroba activities, events and news. 3. Where Personal Data is stored.

Seroba stores data on our own servers in Ireland and on Microsoft365’s servers within Europe.

4. How long do we keep Personal Data?

Personal data will be saved for the specified purposes mentioned above for as long as each contact continues to be a business contact. Our contacts can opt-out at any time, if they no longer wish to receive communications from us. Our contacts can also ask us to change or completely delete their personal data any time.

5. Logs and Cookies

Seroba is collecting and processing information regarding the browsing by visitors on the Site via its logging systems. In addition, Seroba uses two types of cookies on the Site.

Strictly necessary cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site are essential in order to enable you to move around the Site and use its features. This includes accessing secure download areas of the Site.
Performance cookies – Some of the cookies on the Site collect information about how visitors use the Site, for instance which pages visitors go to most often, and if they get error messages from webpages.

6. IP addresses

When you visit the Site, Seroba’s server will record your IP address together with the date, time and duration of your visit. An IP address is an assigned number, which allows your computer to communicate over the Internet. It enables Seroba to identify which organisations have visited the Site. Seroba uses this information to compile statistical data on the use of the Site to track how users navigate through the Site in order to enable Seroba to evaluate and improve the Site and understand the interest areas of visitors and the types of visitors who use our Site.
